We are looking for an experienced Automation Manager to join our team of experts covering BeNeLux area. You will provide direct expertise and management of the realization of automated end-to-end warehousing solutions. Your Role

The Automation Manager plays a key role in designing automated solutions, steering vendor selection process and drawing up supplier contracts.

Your Responsibilities

  • Contributing to pre-conceptualdesign and conceptualdesign of automated solutions;

  • Ensuring that the concept design is translated in aviable implementable detailed design; Ensuring the correct systems’ functional & interface specifications are defined and delivered;

  • Steering the vendor selection process by giving final approval or sharing showstoppers; Drawing up supplier contracts,with a focus on technical solution specification, output and throughput, KPIs, acceptancecriteria and tests;

  • Followingup from installation to PLC testing/commissioning (interface if needed) and after care; Coordinatingand participating in Factory Acceptance testing, System Integration test, User Acceptance testand DILO relative to the project;

  • Ensuring structuredcommunication between internal and external project stakeholders,motivating them to achieve strong results;

  • Ensuring automation projects are successfully implemented, ensuring correct knowledgeownership in the runningoperations; ensuringthevendor delivers according to contractualexpectations; #LI-AM4

  • Guiding the internalstakeholders and the supplierin the approach towardsimprovementsand desiredresults. Increasingthe standardization of automationsolutions to improvespeed inanswering to customer needs/requirements.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Master’s degree in mechatronics/electromechanicalEngineering and/or practical experiencein automation controls or software engineering; Solidunderstanding of information systems and engineering theory. Trained on latest machine directives standards, and you continuously work in upgrading your knowledge through trainings (SCADA,PLC, CAD…);

  • 10+years’ experience designing & implementingautomated warehouses involving conveyors,ASRS, G2P,sorting systems;

  • Excellent knowledge of the landscape and possibilities of automation suppliers. Solid understanding of the project life cycle of automated material handling systemsand equipment;

  • Youhave the ability to grow a team in terms of knowledge and attitude. Youare comfortable in a matrix organization working together with cross-functional teams;

  • Excellent command of English;

  • You are willing to travelin BeNelux in relation to different projects & customers.
