Software Engineering Manager

Overview

This role is situated within Aiia, one of the newest Mastercard's acquisitions. Aiia is a revolutionary Fintech platform focused on transforming account-to-account payments ecosystem. As a Software Engineering Manager, you will be tasked with overseeing two squads within the Connectivity team. These squads play a pivotal role in establishing connections with numerous banks throughout Europe and streamlining their integration into a unified and simplified API.

Responsibilities

• Formally supervise and coach 2+ teams of engineers to build, enhance, and support the Aiia Connectivity platform

• Work with business/product owners to develop and deliver on new services to introduce new products and bundles

• Recruit and hire the right talent

• Continuously engage and improve teams’ performance

• Provide and facilitate timely feedback, coaching in the moment, and mentoring for staff at all levels

• Manage and optimize budgets, forecasting, and cost allocation while delivering on business needs in the area of ownership

• Provide strategic thinking and leadership related to a wide range of applications and systems, or software-development methodologies

• Benchmark and drive engineering productivity, quality, and technology policy compliance in the areas of ownership
