Dow Jones Lead QA Engineer in Gdansk, Poland

Job Description: About us:

At its core, OPIS uses a set of complex IT systems and tools, handling huge amounts of data in a reliable way, and providing customers with business applications to use this data as efficiently as possible.

About the Role

OPIS is currently hiring in our Quality Assurance team. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing hybrid/remote team that will become an important part of global OPIS IT and our Product Technology division. You will report to our QA Associate Director.

You Will:

  • Test software and content to ensure changes and additions meet business expectations without negatively affecting existing reports and workflows

  • Design and assist in building automated tests (both API and UI) using OPIS QA framework

  • Perform manual tests when needed

  • Develop and maintain test plans and estimates for testing tasks

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field, or equivalent experience

  • 4+ years professional experience in IT Quality Assurance

  • General knowledge of web applications development (working with various browsers, HTTP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

  • Experience with two or more languages/frameworks/libraries: C#, Cypress, Angular/React, Javascript, or Python

  • Proficient understanding of one or more test frameworks: xUnit, nUnit, Selenium

  • Hands-on experience with one or more API testing tools such as SoapUI/POSTMAN/Rapid-API

  • Knowledge of at least one database type such as SQL, MongoDB
