  1. Position Summary

Slitter Operator-Must be able, and willing to learn the complete operation of the Slitter. This includes but not limited to: Set up of knives, filling out daily production reports, reading a tape measure, changing over arms, operating and adjusting all controls required to run the Slitter, welding and cutting torch experience. Working with the other Slitter operator, and supervisors on daily production requirements. Work with maintenance personnel when required.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Performance of all operational duties required to produce quality product off of the slitting line, including but not limited to set up, load, and off load slitting line

``` - Manipulates controls and utilizes various material handling devices to move material into and away from slitting operation

``` - Observes incoming and finished material and reports apparent defects or equipment malfunction to operator and/or Supervisor

``` - Bands, bundles, tack welds, etc. to secure and bundle slit coils. Identify same by marking, tagging, etc. per instructions

``` - Maintains minimum standards of production in position while providing acceptable quality

``` - Assist in maintaining tooling using care in handling, cleaning and proper storage of same.

``` - Performs other miscellaneous related duties as assigned by the Supervisor
