Job Responsibilities
The essential functions and key responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:
· Establish a strong focus on internal and external customer service
· Designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency
· Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills
· Provide technical support and assist in resolution of manufacturing problems as required
· Confers with design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure proficient production methods
· Confers with vendors to resolve equipment, materials and/or quality issues that are impacting the quality of the end product being produced
· Applies statistical methods to analysis of key manufacturing processes and controls
· Comprehensive knowledge of BOM structure and change control process
· Comprehensive understanding of product line designs and project cost make-up
· Strong attention to detail
· Team player in pursuit and support of cost reduction activities to achieve company goals
· Good interpersonal and training skills
· Ability to work independently, resolve technical and manufacturing issues without detailed direction and work as part of a team
· Capability to accurately and efficiently work on multiple projects simultaneously
· Ability to travel “as required” to customer site(s) to provide technical support and training
· Takes a lead role in the identification, purchase and implementation of new equipment utilized on the manufacturing floor
· Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair service following manufacturer’s recommendations and established procedures
Qualifications
Job Requirements
· BS degree in engineering or related discipline
· Minimum 5 years working experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or related engineering position
· Minimum of 15 years working experience in a directly related position of responsibility with demonstrated engineering competency may be considered in place of formal college degree with associated experience
· Demonstrates accuracy and proficiency in execution of job responsibilities
· Strong key contributor with emerging leadership capabilities demonstrated
· PC and CAD literate
