Position: Science Teacher Chemistry and Physics

Location: Gardiner Area High School

Date Position Available: 2024-2025 School Year

Qualifications: Valid Certification in (350) Physical Science and/or (395) Life Science and current CHRC authorization through the State of Maine Department of Education is required. Dual certification (Physical Science and Life Science) is preferred.

Position Description: MSAD #11 is currently seeking a team oriented, energetic, and creative educator at Gardiner Area High School to work as a science teacher. We are seeking an educator who would focus on chemistry and physics topics. Depending on the selected candidate, adjustments may be made to the schedule. Knowledge of and experience with Next Generation science standards, inquiry-based learning, standards-based grading and technology integration is preferred. Educators at GAHS have 80-minute learning blocks with additional time for labs, opportunities for indoor/outdoor/applied learning experiences, and routine common planning periods with colleagues.
