EAC Network Intern (Special Projects) - Human Resources in Garden City, New York

Human Resources Intern (Special Projects) Primary Purpose of Job: As an HR intern, you will assist the HR team in daily activities to ensure efficient operations within the department. This internship provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in various HR functions while contributing to organizational goals. The Intern-HR position is an unpaid opportunity. The position work schedule is flexible at 20 hours per week. The hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9:00AM-5:00PM and the office is located in Garden City, NY. The role reports to the HR Director of Talent Management. Measurable Objective: Enhance HR functional learning. Improve Record keeping accuracy. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Support HR team in maintenance of employee records and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Assist with creation of Wellness newsletter. Assist in organizing training sessions and workshops for employees. Help with employee engagement initiatives. Assist in drafting HR-related communications. Assist in other areas of HR department with clerical workload and special projects as needed. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required: Some knowledge of computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, and email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments a big plus. Currently pursuing degree or career in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology Business Administration or related field. Must have pleasant phone manner and good interpersonal skills.
