REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
High school or equivalent and 6 months of related experience.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
To provide accurate research and payment posting to accounts within the SMS system. Responsible for the application of all payment financial transactions which are being applied to patient accounts using complete accounting/posting procedures. To provide entry level skills in coding, entry and/or retrieval information by means of data entry equipment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Researchesandpostaccountswithinspecifiedproductivitylevels.
· Recordslog statusonlog controlsheet.
· Researchesandpostsallpaymentstothecorrectaccountnumberand physiciannumber.
· Balances,transcribesandbatcheslog.
· Identifiescheckswhichwillbeplacedinanundistributedaccount.
· Identifiescheckswhichneedphysician'schargesloadedinordertoprocesspaymentstotheaccounts.
· Postsalljournalvouchers,refunds,andresubmits.
· Correctsallindividualerrorswhenreturnedbyresearchmanager.
· Phonesinsurancecompaniesasnecessarytoobtaininformation.
· Adherestointernalcontrolsandreporting structure.
· Process Remits and work incorrect Errors
· Work assign Work Q’s
· Bank reconciliation and reporting
· Verify eligibility and load correct coverage
SALARY RANGE:
Actual salary commensurate with experience.
