Job Purpose

The Frame Builder assembles wood parts to create a furniture frame.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Uses air powered frame gun to put wood parts together to build a furniture frame or parts of a frame.
  • Reads instruction and production sheets to complete daily production goals.
  • Operates and maintains air powered frame and/or nail guns.
  • Works in accordance with Company Safety practices
  • Maintains neat and clean work area.
  • Follows all quality standards and inspection requirements.
  • Regular attendance and compliance with all work schedules.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production line environment.
  • Prior work experience in manufacturing or warehousing.
  • Pre-employment and random drug screening.

Preferred

  • Prior working experience in a furniture manufacturing environment.

Working conditions

This job operates primarily in a plant environment but also includes work in the office and warehousing areas

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, bend, stoop, kneel and twist and lift up to 50 pounds; hold and operate air powered tools weighing up to 5 pounds. The employee is frequently required to stand for long periods of time and use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Job is in a location in a plant where the temperature can be hot or cold depending on the weather.
