Sodexo Senior Living is seeking a Food Service Manager for Asbury Methodist Village, an upscale continuing care retirement community located in Gaithersburg, Maryland . Asbury Methodist Village is among the country’s largest continuing care retirement communities and proudly calls Montgomery County, Maryland home. With 134 beautiful acres, our campus is a certified arboretum and includes a 17-acre wildlife preserve.

This Food Service Manager will oversee the daily food service operations for 185 skilled care and 135 assisted living residents, Meals on Wheels program, and a small on-site café. Will report to the Food Operations Manager and manage an hourly staff of approximately 30 FT and PT employees. Typical shift will typically be 12:00pm - 8:30pm, may vary with every other weekend coverage.

The successful candidate will:

  • mainly oversee dining room operations and will assist in kitchen as needed;

  • evaluate and develop service levels for the overall resident meal service program targeted to exceed resident and customer satisfaction;

  • collaborate with clinical, food service and interdisciplinary teams to enhance the resident experience;

  • ensure food quality and presentation;

  • exceed Sodexo standards for Gold Checks and achieve successful regulatory inspections and audits; and

  • perform management functions that include direct supervision of hourly associates including employee development, scheduling of staff.
