Actalent Construction Quality Control Manager in Gaithersburg, Maryland

Job Description:

DAILY WORKSITE LOCATION = NIST = Gaithersburg, MD

Seeking a qualified Quality Control Manager who must demonstrate the ability to manage the cradle-to-grave aspects of the entire life cycle of a small commercial and/or institutional design/build project or to support the project management process for larger projects. The Quality Control Manager position includes an understanding of process management and the ability and agility to perform work that is contracted through a variety of delivery methods that include: indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ), Lump-Sum Contracting, Design/Build and Fast Track contracts.

Company is a Tribally-Owned and reputable 8A Construction firm. They play strictly in the Federal space, and are looking to continue to grow in the Northern VA/DC Market specifically. Their main office is in Purcellville, VA, and this is where office folks report to on a regular basis here locally.

Good working knowledge of civil, architectural, mechanical or electrical discipline and a solid understanding of the other disciplines. Good working knowledge of construction means and methods associated with the renovation and construction of commercial and institutional buildings and site work. The ability to effectively communicate with management, subcontractors, customers and peer group. Ability to travel to different jobsites within a designated geographical area.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  1. 7+ years of Superintendent experience working on institutional, Healthcare, or Federal Project Experience

  2. Experience working on projects in the federal space (IDIQ's, SATOC's, MATOC's, etc.)

  3. Familiarity with all government reporting, scheduling, documentation, & paperwork
