Job Description

Objective:

The Supply Chain Production Scheduler covers all of the activities of Assembly- line / work-center, with the aim of reducing the cost and timing of the supply chain, whilst improving productivity and guaranteeing increased reliability on the whole chain. Works under minimal supervision.

Authorities:

This position has the authority and the right to control, command (position) activities and ensure compliance to the applicable defined company (department or job) policies, processes, practices and the defined objectives.

Main Function Responsibilities:

A) Support and Execute the Planning and Control Process for the Assembly line/s / work-centers

i. Execute the MPS for the Assembly line/s / short-term work schedule for the work-centers in compliance with the agreed production plan order

ii. Carry out RCCP, taking care to monitor all critical and bottleneck resources and propose mitigation plans

iii. Implement action plans to reduce hazards and uncertainties in order to maintain the desired service level

iv. Establish detailed production schedules for the Assembly lines, work center schedules

v. Ensure that schedules are produced as planned and are adjusted according to the risks

vi. Liaise with the external supply, following the calculation of material requirements, and develop action plans to mitigate risks with production planners, procurement, operations

vii. Take accountability for the coordination of critical parts with external/internal scheduling teams

viii. Ensure that deadlines are upheld to honor the customer commitment

ix. Ensure the accuracy of the dynamic data within the ERP system

x. Interface with the Planning Manager to manage short term changes to demand plans

xi. Manage the logistics flow (incoming, internal and outgoing), including shop floor provisions including leading Logistics projects for the assembly lines

B) Measure and analyze performance in coordination with the Assembly lines / work-centers using the defined Supply Chain metrics and provides the required weekly/monthly reports.

C) Analyze the root cause of metrics not at target level and work with the line management to develop the necessary action/recovery plans

i. Contribute to lean and improvement projects:

ii. Ensure that changes introduced are replicated within the processes and ERP system to ensure the effectiveness of planning parameters

iii. Ensure configuration management (updated articles, classifications and Boms in ERP) and maintain the changes record sheet

D) Participate to :

i. Rate Readiness and resources investment studies

ii. Stock Takes, Audits & Assessments

iii. In analysis with detection of short and middle term risks

iv. The Program Operations meetings and other required governance meetings

E) Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  1. Qualification Requirements:

A. Education & Qualification:

• Associates Degree or 3 years of Supply Chain or Business related experience required, Bachelor's degree preferred.

B. Work Experience - Technical knowledge:

• 3 years procurement/supply chain/planning background in manufacturing environment required in addition to the education requirements.

• Knowledge of industry suppliers, product(s), and manufacturing capabilities required. Familiar with the site's organization

• Detailed vision of production processes and their company's supply chain

• Proficiency in Supply Chain Planning Process

• Good technical knowledge on the markets of SAFRAN Group products

• Ability to work well in a matrix structure

• Must have a good understanding of manufacturing processes.

C. Professional Skills:

• Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment.

• Ability to read and review written communication.

• Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.

• Computer Skill: Basic understanding of Windows Operating System®, Microsoft Excel. PowerPoint, Word and Email; Familiar with the information systems used in the Supply Chain: i.e. ERP, Supplier Portal
