Job Description:

The Department of Pathology, Immunology & Laboratory Medicine, University of Florida College of Medicine is currently seeking highly motivated, well-organized and enthusiastic Postdoctoral Associate, contributing to our research in the fields of drug development for the cancer immunotherapy, as well as the study of complex interactions between the cell types within the tumor microenvironment. In our well-equipped laboratory, we utilize advanced instruments such as spectrum flow cytometry (up to 35 parameters), single cell RNA sequencing, T cell receptor sequencing, mouse models of many different cancer models, molecular and biochemical techniques to conduct basic and translational research. Our recent effort is to develop degraders (PROTAC or Molecular Glue) that can target intracellular immune checkpoint proteins. Job Duties

  • Plans, designs and conducts experiments.

  • Biochemical characterization of novel PROTACs against novel targets for cancer immunotherapy, mainly using breast, renal and melanoma cancer models.

  • Immune cell-based assays, including flow cytometry using Aurora Cytek, single cell RNAseq, TCR analysis etc.

  • Documents and interprets results of experiments and report to principal investigators.

  • Conducts literature searches and summarizes information in an appropriate format for a particular study.

  • Designs and performs experiments, data analysis.

  • Helps to write and prepare manuscripts.

Expected Salary:

NIH Rate commensurate with experience

Minimum Requirements:

Ph.D. in Basic Science, Medical Science, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in Cancer Biology, Immunology and/or related biomedical sciences

  • Experience in Bioinformatics analysis of RNAseq, CHIPseq, scRNAseq etc.

  • Experience in administrating mouse with tumors, drugs, or other procedures.
