Position Summary:
The PACU/ASU Registered Nurse promotes and restores patients’ health by completing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for pre- and post-operative patients recovering from general, local, and regional anesthesia based upon age specific and cultural needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited professional nursing program**
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited professional nursing program**
- Valid AZ state RN License or valid multistate license from a recognized compact state acceptable to AZ**
- Advance Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)**
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)**
- ASPAN preferred**
- APEX training as assigned and completed within 90 days of hire and annually thereafter**
- NIH stroke scale completed within 90 days of hire and annually thereafter**
- EKG Exam at time of hire**
