Description

General Summary

We are looking for a reliable, skilled maintenance worker to perform essential upkeep tasks throughout the facility. This position, will be responsible for a wide variety of activities such as repairs and cleaning. Being reliable and self-motivated with a keen eye for detail is essential in this job, as the ideal candidate will have significant work experience and solid technical knowledge.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform minor fixes, such as ceiling tiles, damage to walls, replacing lightbulbs, etc.

  • Install necessary equipment as needed

  • Check system controls and critical systems, logging information as required. Complete minor adjustments as needed

  • Perform necessary cleaning activities, such as dusting, mopping, trash removal, etc.

  • Complete regular maintenance tasks, such Preventative Maintenance work request

  • Inspect and troubleshoot various equipment and systems

  • Test the functionality of the facility’s safety systems

  • Report to facilities or maintenance manager regarding issues resolved, those needing attention

  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Proven experience as a maintenance worker or other similar position, preferably in a corporate setting

  • Basic working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems

  • Experience working with tools, including hand and electrical tools

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • General passion for creative problem-solving

Work Environment

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs., squat, bend, stoop and kneel for short periods, climb a ladder, stand for long periods of time, constant arm extensions.

  • Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, but none to the point of being disagreeable. May involve minor safety hazards where likely result would be cuts, bruises, etc.
