Job Summary: New home construction and remodeling. Frame, build, install, demo. Assist with various types of construction projects while working with standard industry tools and equipment. Must have reliable transportation, able to take measurements and calculate the sizes and amounts of material needed for a project. Must adhere to safety standards and regulations. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Non-exempt position Duties/Responsibilities: Framing, trimming Fits and installs window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim Measures, marks, and arranges materials to established layout Shapes or cuts materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws with precision. Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment. Assembles and fastens materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue. Removes damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools. Moves necessary materials around jobsite as needed Cleans up worksite debris. Adheres to local building and safety codes and guidelines. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to understand directions, training provided Ability to solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately. Ability to properly care for and use tools of the trade. Able to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines Working knowledge of job site safety Strong attention to detail Able to read a tape measure Dependable and possess a strong work ethic Time Management and organization skills Must have reliable transportation
