Are you detail-oriented and organized? The City of Fresno is looking for a Senior Records Clerk to manage and optimize our records system. You'll handle document classification, indexing, and archiving, while leading the shift to an advanced electronic management system. If you have strong clerical and data management skills and want to make a significant impact, apply today!

Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Classify, index, and file a diverse range of records, including ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and plans.

  • Administer and maintain an electronic document management system (EDMS), ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.

  • Implement and oversee the conversion of paper files and microfilm to digital formats, including developing quality control procedures.

  • Manage the storage, retrieval, and disposal of active and inactive records according to established guidelines.

  • Provide research assistance and respond to Public Records Act requests with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Develop and maintain databases, ensuring up-to-date information and effective data management.

  • Participate in audits and make recommendations for improvements to records management processes and budget needs.

  • Offer training and lead direction to staff in records management practices and procedures.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
