We are looking for a Sales Consultant to provide excellent customer service and meet the needs of growers and farmers. Candidates with strong communication skills who can make growers feel confident in AEA's Regenerative Solutions will stand out. Interpersonal skills to actively seek out and engage customer prospects is a must. You will help identify farmers needs, present and answer questions about our products and services and recommend solutions in collaboration with the AEA Agronomy team. You should work to satisfy growers’ needs and requests, respond to their queries in a timely manner and aspire to deliver a consistent positive experience in concert with the AEA Account Management team.

Key Responsibilities of Sales/Agronomy Consultant:

  • Build new client relationships

  • Reach personal sales goals to help reach regional team and company sales goals

  • Work with AEA Agronomy team to create agronomic recommendations and product application guidelines

  • Work with Regional Team and Sales Director to develop forecasting and sales planning for the region

  • Manage sales data collection and reporting using Pipedrive

  • Work within a collaborative team culture of remotely located team members

  • Research accounts and follow through on sales leads

  • Attend meetings, conferences, and educational training to keep abreast of the latest developments

  • Consistently solicit customer feedback and testimonials

  • Follow credit policies and help manage risk

  • Other roles and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

Key Characteristics for Sales Consultant:

  • Proven track record of building sales

  • Strong agronomic background, with experience in plant nutrition, soil science or other agriculture-related science

  • Bachelor’s degree in Ag related discipline, or significant experience in Ag industry

  • Tech-savvy: must have a high-level working knowledge of basic digital platforms

  • Ability to work both remote and within a team structure

  • Willingness to travel often with potentially intense seasonal hours

  • Intimate knowledge of agriculture production equipment practices

  • Alignment with the company's mission and values
