Job Title: Parking Supervisor
Reports To: Director of Event Services & Event Manager
FLSA Status: Part-Time ; On -- Call
Summary Under the direction of the Security Manager the Parking Supervisor is responsible for supervising and the coordinating the activities of workers engaged in the Parking Department by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Identifying and filling staffing and facility needs for daily and event operations.
Assigning duties and supervises parking staff.
Monitors parking sales, processes cash receipts and tickets through established internal control procedures.
Coordinating needs with Event Services/Managers and other departments.
Monitoring of security in and around all parking facilities.
Handles customer complaints and inquiries.
Monitors and maintains inventory of supplies and equipment.
Provides general maintenance and upkeep of parking equipment.
Supervises Parking Attendants. Assists with the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the Parking Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with SMG's policies and applicable laws. Assists in training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with the Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
2 or more years of work experience in parking or closely related field
Working knowledge of parking operations
Supervisory experience preferred
Skills and abilities
Good communications, leadership and organizational skills
High level of skill in counting cash accurately and handling large volume of cash
Ability to work with the public and professionally handle confrontational situations
Ability to work under limited supervision
Ability to interact with all levels of management, employees and clients
Ability to supervise others
Ability to work flexible and irregular hours, including weekends and nights
To perform this job successfully, the individual should have beginning to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
