SMG Maintenance Technician in Fresno, California
Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Reports To: Operations Supervisor
FLSA Status: Part-Time / On-Call; Non-Exempt
Responsible for maintaining, in good working condition, all facility equipment, including HVAC, plumbing and electrical; lighting and climate control systems; and maintenance/cleaning of equipment as directed. Building repair experience is necessary. Landscaping knowledge is a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Repairs and maintains all facility systems and equipment.
Inspects systems throughout facility to troubleshoot malfunctions or breakdowns.
Implements corrective actions as directed.
Coordinates shutdown and start-ups of utilities and all buildings when conditions require it.
Follows procedures for use of Work Orders and SMG Maintenance Manager systems.
Adheres to OSHA, NFPA and other applicable safety codes.
Qualifications to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience:
Must have 2-3 years' experience with maintenance repairs, including plumbing, painting, and electrical/mechanical systems.
Experience in Hotel or Apartment maintenance preferred
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to prioritize and to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills required; ability to interact with all levels of staff including management
Professional presentation, appearance and work ethic
Ability to work irregular / extended hours, including nights, holidays, and weekend duties is required
Valid CA Driver's License -- Preferred.
Position requires heavy lifting, climbing, carrying, stooping, crawling and equipment operation. This position requires work both indoors and out and is subject to adverse conditions.
