Sinclair Broadcast Group Digital Content Producer in Fresno, California

KMPH/KFRE has an immediate opening for a creative Digital Content Producer! In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day digital offerings on our website and social media platforms. This position will also work closely with the Executive Producer, News Director, Assignment Desk and Anchors on the website, video, and social media content. In this position you will work with management and on-air staff to generate and write stories and develop content for our web site.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Solid news judgment

• Be a compelling and accurate writer

• Be able to multitask and manage time in order to put together an exciting and informative selection of digital stories and social media content

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• The ability to execute news strategies and goals

• Flexibility and on-the-spot problem solving abilities are a must

• Understanding of non-linear editing (i.e. Avid) and newsroom systems, such as iNews

Experience:

• Must have at least some previous news experience, although the right entry-level candidate may be considered

• A journalism degree is preferred, but not necessary

The base hourly compensation range for this role is $17.00 to $20.58 per hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates' relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.
