Lumber Mill Worker\ Frenchville, ME - FT/Days - Temp-to-Hire Opportunity\ \ Job Description:\ \ Immediate openings for Lumber Mill Workers with a locally owned facility in Frenchville. Opportunities to earn additional income based on production rates. Full-time; 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday Thursday, 7:00 AM 12:00 PM, Friday; \$15.00/hr. & production bonuses.\ \ The Lumber Mill Worker will produce, sort, and load finished and unfinished lumber products for storage and shipment. Employee will be asked to perform manual labor as well as operate production machinery. Must have good communication skills and be able to follow site-specific safety requirements. No previous experience required will train the right applicants!\ \ Responsibilities:\

  • Manufacture high-quality product in accordance with on-site requirements.
  • Operate stationary wood-cutting machinery.
  • Handle, sort, and stack, rough cut lumber by dimension and grade.
  • Neatly store raw materials and finished product in designated areas.
  • Use shovels and brooms to clean up wood debris and sawdust around the job site.
  • Adhere to all safety measures for the job site in a professional and consistent manner.

\ Job Requirements:\

  • Good communication skills; must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to move/lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or production work helpful, but not required.
