Standard Technologies Industrial Maintenance Mechanic in Fremont, Ohio

Job description

As a maintenance mechanic you will ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, engineering specifications; and troubleshooting malfunctions.

Job Brief:

We're looking for someone that is a creative problem-solver who perseveres through challenging equipment repairs.

Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Duties:

· Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.

· Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.

· Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools,

· Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.

· Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.

· Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies.

· Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.

· Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities:

· Actively supports all Standard Technology activities, i.e. failure analysis etc.

· Familiarity with ISO standards and requirements.

· Exercises independent judgment as needed.

· Observe & follow all safety policies and procedures in compliance with the organizational rules, while seeking continuous improvement. Responsible for his/her safety as well as that of his/her colleagues.

Requirements And Skills:

· A strong work ethic.

· Detail oriented.

· Must be a team player but able to work well independently in a fast-paced production environment.

· Prefer background in electrical and welding troubleshooting.

· Must have own tools.
