Position Overview:

Responsible for providing outpatient individual and group with individuals, children, and families. Provides comprehensive assessment and counseling support for mental, emotional, social, and behavioral issues that arise for patients. Assists patients in learning effective tools to cope with stress, grief, and loss, and to make healthy behavioral changes. Works in partnership with physicians, other health practitioners and administrative staff on care coordination and treatment planning and is the principal team resource for all mental health matters. The position also collaborates with the other psychotherapists to implement and sustain best practices the field of behavioral health.

EDUCATION

Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

Master's: Degree in a Mental Health discipline or equivalent education/experience

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE

LCSW-Licensed Clinical Social Worker

OR LMFT-Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

OR PSY-Psychologist of California

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:

2 years counseling experience, preferably in a medical environment and with those who have experienced a health crisis.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Ability to assess the needs of the patient, provide high quality integrative psychotherapy, guided imagery and other evidenced based approaches as indicated.

Knowledge of holistic assessment, care plan development and outcomes tracking methods.

Capacity to work within the integrative medicine model as practiced at the Institute for Health & Healing and in line with most recent research findings regarding behavioral health in the ambulatory care setting.

Candidate must have desire and ability to work as an active member of an interdisciplinary practice team led by physicians.

Required to have knowledge of the most recent Board of Behavioral Science requirements and adhere to them.

Pay Range is $53.54 to $72.27 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
