This position has On-Site Requirements


The staff accountant analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports. Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files as well as reconciling accounts. Prepares payments by accruing expenses. Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures.


• G/L Entries in Foundation

• Prepare and record the general ledger entries for payroll in Foundation

• Reconciling bank accounts with Foundation G/L accounts

• Sales/Use Tax to PA

• Monthly A/R report and Borrowing Base Certificate to Farmers Bank

• Payroll

o Time entry and validation

o Prepare and remit federal and state payroll taxes

o Prepare quarterly payroll tax returns, and transmit them along with the payment

o Calculate and remit the worker's compensation insurance premium

o Prepare 401(k) transmittal spreadsheet and contribution remittance

o Prepare and record the general ledger entry for payroll in Foundation

o Maintain spreadsheet tracking hours for ACA compliance (Obamacare)

o Assist in the preparation of certified payroll reports (as needed)

o Update health insurance spreadsheets to determine if additional withholding or billing is needed

• Special Projects

o Keep WIP report current

o Assist in interpreting or recommending changes to the 401(k) plan

o Work with bankers on working capital requests and loan modifications

o Attend appropriate seminars to stay informed and current on government regulations

o Adjust internal financial statements and assist in interpreting information to management

• Executive Duties

o Annual budget planning

o Sales reports including YTD revenue, bookings, and projections

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional accounting experience

• Identifies ways to streamline and/or improve processes.

• Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis

• Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting

• Experience in managing payroll

• Foundation Software knowledge a plus

• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in business, accounting or a related field

• Professional Certification such as CPA or CA
