Dunkirk-Fredonia Meals on Wheels Executive Assistant in Fredonia, New York

PT: Executive Assistant, Fredonia DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides high-level administrative support and assistance to the Executive Director and/or other assigned staff/volunteers. Performs clerical and administrative tasks including drafting letters, memos, invoices, reports, and other documents for senior staff. Operates customer database program and updates as required to ensure that volunteer routes are covered daily. Finds substitute volunteer drivers when regular volunteers cannot perform route. Schedule delivery vehicle maintenance/repair; prepare monthly mileage report. Receives incoming communication or memos on behalf of senior staff, reviews contents, determines importance, and summarizes and/or distributes contents to appropriate staff. Performs office tasks including maintaining records, ordering supplies, and performing basic bookkeeping. Performs all other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Education and/or Experience High School Diploma or associate degree (preferred), two or more years experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, and/or board of directors. Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication, with supervisor, clients, staff, vendors, etc. Mathematical Skills Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. This role requires an above-average knowledge of Microsoft Office.
