  • Trains and oversees restaurant employees to boost productivity levels and compliance with restaurant service standards. - Oversees all aspects of a shift, ensuring accurate and timely production, service times and staffing; contributing to the achievement of established food and labor goals. - Creates and maintains an atmosphere where the primary focus on the shift is to ensure guest satisfaction. - Follows dress code policies, as well as ensures all team members are in compliance with appearance and uniform policies. - Delegates activities to employees, making sure they are executed efficiently and successfully to ensure timely service of all orders. - Trains and supervises the team on health and safety guidelines, customer service best practices, and cleaning and hygiene requirements. - Arranges to have all shifts covered in the event of absence and tardiness, monitors employees clock-in and clock-out procedure. - Manages dining reservations, with a focus on maximizing the number of covers and revenue generation, while still providing exceptional service. - Trains and motivates employees on upselling techniques, focusing on increasing the average check. - Ensures guests satisfaction and gracefully handles any complaints. - Maintains informed communication with management and employees both verbally and utilizing the shift notes. - Follows operating procedures with regards to cash handling, ensuring cash control by correcting errors and watching for mistakes. - Balances the cash register at the end of the shift. - Adheres to restaurant guidelines for opening and closing procedures. - Performs inspections of dining room and kitchen areas for cleanliness and inventory. - Follows guidelines to complete daily administrative paperwork as needed and other paperwork as requested. - Implements new programs, policies, or products as introduced by Management. - Ensures that there are no situations in which sensitive materials and/or information are compromised. - Assumes the responsibilities of employees who are unable to perform their shifts. - Informs the next Shift Manager about pending tasks in a timely manner, via shift notes. - Reports maintenance and training needs.
