Actalent CAD Drafter in FREDERICKTOWN, Ohio

Description:

Manufacturer of material handling and processing systems for the tire and rubber and various other industries. Along with an ongoing commitment to research & development, we focus on customization principles and flexible, efficient system designs.

DUTIES:

Drafter is expected to collaborate with the Lead Engineer on detail drawings of individual components and sub-assemblies

  • Communicates effectively with all personnel levels, internally as well as externally, as needed to meet project demands

  • Responsible for:

  • Ensuring design meets customer expectation

  • Ensuring project is within budget

  • Ensuring project is on time relative to Master Schedule

  • Obtaining Customer Approval of design

  • Resolving problems as they occur

  • Understanding when a change order is required and completing change order designs

  • Develop and maintain electronic documentation related to releasing of manufacturing packages. This includes drawings, bill of material, component requisitions, saw/laser schedule, equipment list, as well as any additional details that may be required by the individual project specification

  • Utilize AutoCAD or equivalent software to complete design requirements

  • Responsible for preparing the following types of drawings:

  • System layout or equipment approval drawings to be sent to customer

  • General arrangement or sales drawings for estimating purposes

  • Installation drawings

  • Detail drawings of individual components and sub-assemblies

  • Revisions to existing drawings as needed for design changes

    • Gather information from resources as needed to prepare design changes

    • Support as needed to meet project demands (manufacturing, quality, and engineering)

    • Provide installation support as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications::

  • Associate or Bachelors Mechanical (open to no college education must have technical exp)

  • 3D modeling experience (Solidworks, Pro-E/ Inventor, etc) 2D AutoCAD
