All In Solutions (AIS) is seeking INDEPENDENT MEDICAL DISABILITY BENEFIT EXAMINATION CONTRACTORS to conduct Medical DISABILITY BENEFIT EXAMINATIONS for Veterans in support of Veterans Affairs disability benefit claims. The successful candidates will meet the following criteria and provide Medical Examination Services to an Examinee referred by appropriate authorities:

+ + Only Physicians, Physician Assistants and/or Nurse Practitionerswith a full, clear, active, and unrestricted state license as Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.), Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRN) who have been pre-approved may perform Medical Examination Services including the review of medical records (when applicable), conduct examination, and interpret all clinical data when applicable. No other persons, including medical staff, technicians, therapists, physician assistants, and colleagues/physicians that are not pre-approved are authorized to participate in the examination process.

  • For Nurse Practitioners (NP):

  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing, either by the appropriate state agency, or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), at the time the program was completed; and must have a minimum of a master’s degree, with a major in the clinical nursing specialty to which the nurse is to be assigned.

  • Have a full and current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) board certification from a certifying nursing body, which must be in the specialty to which the individual is being appointed or selected.

  • APRN’s will continue to follow the state’s practice act in which they are licensed:

  • For Physician Assistants (PA):

  • A Scope of Practice or Practice Plan, and any other requirements by the state of licensure for PA clinical practice, are submitted and approved by the appropriate licensing boards.

  • The PA is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and remains certified for the duration of the contract.

This work is strictly to conduct Medical Health Disability Benefit Examinations and does NOT include any therapeutic work on the part of the Provider.

Location: REMOTE (Private Practice Clinic) and/or AIS Clinic based, NEGOTIABLE

Full time or Part time: NEGOTIABLE, Independent Contractor would set their own schedule by providing AIS with availability and AIS will schedule appointments accordingly

Period of Performance:Approximately 5-year contract

Opening is IMMEDIATE

AIS would be responsible for all patient scheduling, billing, required computer equipment and software.

Requirements:

The Provider will Complete Medical Exam Report Packages – Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)

The Provider understands that timeliness is of the essence & that a completereport package shall include the following:

  • An examination report signed by the examining Physician, Physician Assistant and/or Nurse Practitioner. The examination report shall include, at a minimum, corroborating histories, physical findings, results of all diagnostic tests performed, and diagnoses completed as required by the VA’s Disability Benefits Questionnaire(s) (DBQs). If the Examinee has not completed the history worksheets at the time of the appointment, either the provider or the office staff will assist the Examinee in completing the history worksheets prior to or during the appointment.

  • Each question or field in the Claimant Medical History and the Provider Exam Protocol worksheets are answered.

  • Contractor will use QTC’s proprietary software as it is implemented to generate an electronic examination report in lieu of dictation and transcription. Contractor will lock or finalize all completed worksheets and transmit the resulting output of DBQ forms to QTC. Contractor will return the signed examination upon completion via email using E-Signature within the designated timeframe (see Table A).

  • Contractor will incorporate all diagnostic test results, performed on-site or off-site, pertinent to the examination in a timely manner and incorporate relevant results into the final signed examination report.
