Aerotek Maintenance Mechanic in Frederick, Maryland

Aerotek is currently hiring for maintenance mechanics in the Frederick, MD area! Qualified candidates will be able to perform the following responsibilities:

Job Description:

  • Assist the facilities manager with ensuring that all facilities are structurally sound, mechanically operational, electrically efficient and safe by planning and scheduling daily/weekly preventive maintenance activities in coordination with preventive maintenance work sheets

  • Assist the maintenance manager with ensuring that contract mechanical maintenance services

  • Meet specified result and/or work orders thus minimizing future operational problems by observing (spot checking) the work performed and advising maintenance manager when contracted services fail to meet specifications

  • Ensure operation of machinery, PLCs and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic, conveyor systems, production machines

  • Following diagrams/sketches of operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions and engineering specifications

  • Troubleshooting malfunctions

  • Operate, trouble shoot and repair plant systems and PLCs accordingly to DFA procedures

  • Perform required preventive maintenance on PLCs; including lubrication, cleaning and filter changes according to DFA procedures

  • Must follow safety, GMP, HACCP and all other DFA procedures and policies

  • Provide communication to all support team members by following proper escalation procedures

  • Start-up inspection a. Inspect interior of filler bowl before AM sanitation

Job Qualifications:

  • Experience in performing mechanical troubleshooting of production equipment including but not limited to blow molders, conveyors, gear boxes, motors

  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude

  • Experience reading/interpreting blueprints and schematics

  • Previous manufacturing experience is a plus but not required
