PeopleReady Heavy Equipment Operator in Frederick, Maryland

PeopleReady Skilled Trades is actively seeking an experienced BOMAG 2200-75 asphalt milling machine operator. The BOMAG 2200-75 milling machine is a heavy-duty piece of equipment designed to remove existing asphalt surfaces from roads, parking lots, and other paved areas with precision and efficiency. The asphalt milling operator will be responsible for setting up and adjusting milling machines, following project specifications, and ensuring the proper depth and width of the milling process. Ideal candidates will have 4 to 5 years, have the ability to coordinate with other crew members including project managers and supervisors to ensure the successful completion of milling projects. The pay rate for this job is $34 - $37 / hour

Responsibilities Include:

  • Operate heavy machinery including the BOMAG 2200-75 milling machine, skid steer loaders, and backhoe

  • Remove old asphalt layers and prepare surfaces for repaving

  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery

  • Monitor the milling process to ensure the appropriate depth and width

  • Assist in transporting machines as needed

  • Maintain accurate records of equipment, maintenance and work performed

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience

  • Must possess a Class A license

  • Strong communication experience

  • Good driving record

  • Prior skid steer/backhoe experience a plus

  • Ability to work any required overtime

  • Transportation to and from jobsites daily

  • Able to work in various weather conditions Bi-lingual a plus
