JOB REQUIREMENTS: Cooper Power Systems LLC Adams Road, Franksville, WI 53126 Lead System QA Automation Engineer Job Description: Support two families of products, Reclosers/Relays and Regulators Controls. Recloser/Relays controls (named as Form 6, Form, 7 Recloser controls & IDEA relays like iTAP and iST) are protection devices which trip when overcurrent is detected. Reclosers also support reclosing functionality to avoid prolonged power outages for temporary fault. Regulator Control is a device to maintain constant feed of a set voltage by stepping up or stepping down. Along with this basic feature, our control supports historic data like event log, alarms etc. for better tracking and long haul and local comms. Design and implement robust, scalable, high quality Test Automation Suites within a Continuous Integration and Deployment environment to improve quality and productivity of functional, regression, and system tests. Define test strategy and develop detailed test plans, specifications, and test cases. Test data sets that validate functional, performance, and load test requirements and update existing test procedures based on requirement changes and test analysis. Develop, execute, and maintain extensible automated tests with skillsets in Python, Java, and C#. Lead and participate in project-wide reviews of requirements, system architecture, and detailed design documents, interacting with Management, Architects, and other Leads in a one-to-one or one-to-many meeting format. Analyze test results and identify, document, and report root causes for test failures by working with the development team and the defect tracking system. Communicate technical concepts and information to internal staff/peers and stakeholders. Identify opportunities for process, tools, and test methodology improvements, and drive those from concept to implementation. Validate official customer product releases and take responsibility for the end-result. Up to 10% for visits to Switchgear production team located in South Milwaukee, WI office. Position is fixed based in Franksville, WI office; However, telecommuting from a home office location up to two (2) days per week is allowed. Job Requirements: Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a directly related field plus five (5) years of experience as a QA Engineer or related occupation. Must have four (4) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently): - Experience in Software Development and Test or Test Tool Development with a proven track record of validating high quality products Must have three (3) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently): - Development experience in Python or other scripting languages Must have one (1) year of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently): - Experience with SCADA communication Protocols, including DNP3, MODBUS, or IEC61850 - Experience with test automation frameworks and working on defining and implementing automation framework for 2+ projects - Experience creating and defining test plans and test cases for embedded and application software for real time controls - Experience with Source Control software and Code Collaboration tools, including Git or SVN - Experience with Issue and Project Tracking software, including JIRA or TFS - Experience working in an Agile SCRUM development lifecycle - Experience with Data Driven/Keyword Driven testing approaches - Experience developing software testing harness/tools for Linux environments and Windows applications - Experience with backend physical resource testing, notably memory, CPU load, and disk IO Will accept 7 years of experience in QA Engineering in lieu of a Bachelor\'s degree + 5 years of experience. 40 hrs/wk, 9-5.
