We are offering an opportunity for a Controller based in Franklin Park, Illinois. This role is integral to the financial functioning of our organization, with a focus on establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems. The Controller will guide financial decisions, maximize return on financial assets, and ensure the safeguarding of the company's assets.

Responsibilities:

• Establishing and implementing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems

• Guiding financial decisions by maintaining and implementing a system of accounting policies and procedures

• Maximizing return and limiting risk on cash by minimizing bank balances

• Preparing budgets by establishing schedules, collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data

• Providing status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data

• Overseeing the preparation of periodic financial statements, corporate annual reports, and special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends

• Establishing and monitoring adequate internal controls over the company’s assets

• Implementing cost reduction programs as necessary, including establishing equipment preventive maintenance requirements and service contracts, maintaining equipment inventories, and evaluating new equipment and techniques

• Recommending and establishing benchmarks for measuring the company’s performance and monitoring business performance metrics

• Utilizing skills in Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, DCAA, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Auditing, Budget Processes

Requirements

Job Requirements:

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Knowledge of Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) procedures and regulations

• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems

• Ability to implement and manage ERP Solutions

• Proficient in overseeing all Accounting Functions

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Skilled in Auditing procedures and techniques

• Understanding of Budget Processes and ability to effectively manage them

• Previous experience as a Controller or in a similar role is preferred.
