We are looking for a Compounder Mixing Operator in our Franklin Park, IL facility. The Compounder mixing operator will be responsible for the production of Poly-ISO Insulation to published specifications. Operation of production equipment, calculations of output square feet, sheet length, and linear feet. Other Skills include the ability to read tape measures.

Pay Range: \$22.00 to \$24.00 per hour (3rd Shift, 11pm to 7am)

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Chemical batching using the control panel

* Transfer batches from batch tanks to day tanks and vice versa

* Operate and troubleshoot compounders control console and mixing station

* Operate, troubleshoot, equipment in bulk storage room including the management of chemical totes

* Operate and troubleshoot foam skid, maintain back pressure regulators, filters

* Monitor B blend control panel

* Responsible for coordination of facer roll changes

* React waste chemical for disposal

* Attend various meetings to provide input on processing problems and changes to process and equipment

* Housekeeping of Plant inside and out

* Assist in training of new team members

* Safe/Proper disposal of waste chemical

* Maintaining 5S checklist

* Fill in other areas of the plant as required

Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:

* Knowledge and Certified in Lock-out Tag-out Program

* Knowledge of processing specifications and quality standards for products.

* Knowledge of safety aspects of all equipment as well as the plant\'s general safety policies.

* Understanding the impact of sending incorrect/defective product.

* Ability to operate mobile equipment safely

Working Conditions:

* Activities occur inside and insulation manufacturing facility. Job includes but are not limited to exposure to the following:

* Temperatures exposed to both ambient/outside temperatures

* Nuisance dust, use of chemicals, working with mechanical parts, pinch points

* Noise of industrial machinery

* Typically, 40 hours per week with overtime as required

* 3 shifts Monday-Friday with weekends as required

* Fast paced 24/7 operations

Education & Experience Requirements:

* Education - High School Diploma or GED equivalent, technical school preferred

* Experience with driving a forklift

* Experience - 2+ years of experience previous experience working as a Compounder Mixing Operator in a manufacturing environment
