Clarks Chapel Fire-Rescue Dept Fire Fighter in Franklin, North Carolina

Position: Full Time Firefighter/EMT Pay:$45,760 annually Schedule: M, T, TH, F 7A-5P Benefits: Health Insurance - up to $450 Individual coverage monthly $5,400 yearly Annual 401K - $4,000 dollars Annually or $1,000 per quarter after first year Two weeks' vacation time - 8 days/80 hrs. One Kelly Day per month 12 days Annual (may be used for Holiday) 5 PTO days Annually Closing Date - Open until filled

General Definition of Duties: This position is directly accountable to department chief; firefighter will be responsible for responding to non-emergency and emergency alarms assigned by county communications center. Position will be required to provide emergency care to basic life support level. Firefighter will be expected to complete files and documentation for alarms. Position will have responsibility of maintaining records for department inspections. Firefighter will be expected to perform daily apparatus/ equipment inspections and complete any required preventive maintenance.Position shall perform regular cleaning and maintenance of the CCFR facilities.Firefighter shall perform any other duties delegated by the department Chief.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • NC Level II Firefighter certification
  • NC EMT Basic Certification
  • Current BLS CPR certification
  • NC D/O certification
  • Possession of valid NC class B CDL

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years Firefighter experience

Physical Requirements: This position requires regular exertion of up to 25lbs of force, frequent exertion of up to 50lbs of force, and occasional exertion of up to 100+ lbs of force.
