Position Location: Franklin, MA

Position Summary:

Assists the Facilities Supervisor to ensure the cleanliness and safety of ZeptoMetrix’s building and grounds, and the operational efficiency and maintenance of the equipment. In addition to assisting with the necessary maintenance, this position assists the Supervisor to support a pleasant work environment, visual enhancements, and the comfort of all associates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect facilities daily for safety hazards; inspect fire extinguishers and exit signs monthly; inspect lights, including emergency lights; take appropriate action when inspections reveal problems

  • Log in all necessary readings for required areas and maintain HVAC logs

  • Perform building maintenance, including painting, patching, sealing floors, running cable (CRT, PC), hanging signs, phone mounts, fire extinguishers, and carpentry

  • Assemble office furniture

  • Assist office moves as required

  • Troubleshoot, repair, rebuild (units), and replace (component) equipment, machinery, DC

  • Repair plumbing and electrical components, including fixture and outlet replacements and basic machinery wiring

  • Set up conference rooms based on requests submitted

  • Assist contractors with repairs as necessary

  • Assist in inventory of maintenance supplies and tools; assist in selection and purchase of supplies and parts

  • Remove snow, ice, and debris from parking lots, sidewalks, and entrance areas

  • Help determine equipment repair/replace schedule

  • Assist in safe handling of hazardous materials as necessary

  • Performs other duties as assigned

    Education:

  • High School diploma, General Education Degree, or equivalent

    Experience:

  • 3-5 years of previous building maintenance experience preferred

    Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Possess theoretical and practical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical equipment and systems

  • Be able to read and interpret electrical and HVAC blueprints, diagrams, and instructions.

  • Follow written instructions and work with minimal supervision

  • Possess a valid Florida driver’s license to be able to operate company vehicle

  • Meet and maintain high attendance standards

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, efficiently works under pressure, within deadlines or other time essential constraints

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to clearly and concisely communicate to all levels of the organization

  • Strong work ethic and an ability to excel within a rapidly changing and growing organization

  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, climb ladders, walk for extended periods of time

  • Moderate physical demand; often lifting/moving average weight (up to 50 lbs.), and occasionally lifting heavy weight materials (up to 70 lbs.) with assistance
