Ensuring Chart’s Success…

The Rotating Equipment Specialist is a highly technical and experienced resource in compressor or turbine package components and the industry processes where the equipment is applied. Provides technical support to internal and external customers remotely and/o on site focusing in driving customer satisfaction with compressor and turbine equipment in order to position the company as the trusted advisor in compression and steam power generation.This position reports to the Aftermarket Manager and is part of the Operations Department.

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

  • Provide remote and onsite support to external customers in the areas of training, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, performance verification and process controls.

  • Document and follow up on all customer technical requests.

  • Supports internal customers with technical guidance in the areas of sales solutions, submittal questions, technical clarifications, product performance verification and field service support.

  • Performs engineering functions for upgrade and service / maintenance contracts.

  • Closely collaborates with Engineering group to assure latest product standards been applied to every project.

  • Maintains complex tools, test equipment and calibration items.

  • Performs root cause analysis for complex compression and power generation incidents.

  • Engage in continuous education in the fields of compressors and steam turbines.

  • Guides and performs the review of complex task plans, drawings, and installation schematics and provides continual guidance throughout task duration

Your Education Should Be…

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in mechanical or electrical engineering or related fields

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

At customer sites, working hands on with mechanical equipment, electrical troubleshooting. Works directly with complex tools, test equipment. Walking, Standing, Bending, Lifting.

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

  • Experience with compressors and/or steam turbines and related equipment in the areas or engineering, field service, compressor design and sizing or R&D for 10 years at minimum.

  • Experience in aeriation for waste water treatment and/or light gases compression in industrial processes.

  • 10 years minimum experience with rotational equipment.

  • Travel of up to 50% domestic and international.

  • Able to collaborate in a cross functional and multicultural setting.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

In this section, please outline exactly what knowledge/skills, education, and experiences are preferred but NOT required to be considered for this position.

  • ASME PTC 10 testing standard knowledge.

  • Allen Bradley, Siemens and/or Modicon PLC and HMI programming skills.

  • Knowledge of German or Spanish language a plus.

  • Steam turbine knowledge.
