General Summary:

Qualcomm is recruiting a Senior Account Manager to the IoT account team in EMEA. The position is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join at a moment where the business is taking off, allowing to take responsibility for a number of accounts with focus on Industrial IoT. Responsibilities include the logistic and supply chain for major business growth, getting engaged in legal and business frameworks and developing a broad understanding of Qualcomm’s portfolio for Industrial IoT technologies.

The position will take full commercial responsibility for the complete account of a major German industrial account.

Tasks:

You will take the account lead of a portfolio consisting of existing projects and opportunities, which are executed around the globe and provide an opportunity to work in a truly international environment, the task involve

  • Identification of business opportunities within focused segments in Industrial IoT

  • Develop and secure a sustainable network at customer level to get early visibility of new business opportunities

  • Support RFQ and design in process for new projects and conduct price negotiation and drive commercial agreements

  • Project set-up and commercial project follow-up. Including set-up of the legal framework, support contracts and major execution mile stones

  • Provide commercial support to engineering for tools, engineering services and management governance

  • Provide commercial and logistic support for tools, samples and production ramp-ups

  • Manage the complete forecasting process for the business scope you are responsible for.

  • Manage engineering service billing and invoicing process

  • Support Commercial and strategic planning

  • Manage account governance at all management levels

  • Establish sales activities and pursue sales goals to maximize the business for targeted RFFE products

  • First point of contact and trusted partner for questions from the customer together with the assigned team

  • Processing of all relevant regional and international sales topics within the BU and with customers directly

  • Customer relationships at all relevant, functional and personnel levels in order to identify market developments and competitive situations at an early stage and to plan products in new customer projects

  • Observation of customer trends in terms of application, technical, quantitative and monetary development

  • Regular customer visits or online conferences to carry out design / technical advice, approvals, preparation of offers / price negotiations, ordering / annual and framework purchase agreements, logistics and quality management and customer care

Profile:

  • Bachelor/Master degree Electrical Engineering degree or similar

  • A minimum of 7-15 years of experience in semiconductor Sales, Account Management or Business Development.

  • Very strong interpersonal, communication and fluent negotiation skills in English and preferably German with ability to work in an international multi-cultural context

  • Ability to explain complex technical contents in a convincing fashion appropriate to the level of the business partner

  • Ability to work in an autonomous way, setting the right priorities for Qualcomm business and its customers

  • Strong drive internally with Qualcomm Business Units for what he/she needs to make business move forward

  • Ability to interface and deal at all levels of the customer

  • Background in legal and finance sales processes

  • High degree of flexibility, autonomy and motivation, customer focus, business orientation and networking ability are requested for this position

  • Good communication and management skills across virtual Team meetings, but also willing to travel frequently as needed
