Job Summary and Qualifications

The role of the OB Scrub Tech on the Center for Women’s Health/ NICU unit is to provide care under the direction

of the Charge Nurse, Clinical Coordinator/Supervisor, and the Director. The OB Tech provides care in accordance

with established policies and procedures of Frankfort Regional Medical Center and professional organizations, and

in support of the mission of Frankfort Regional Medical Center. Care is provided in a family-centered

environment.

What qualifications you will need:

I. Minimum Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma; completion of Scrub Tech and/or CNA program

Licensure/Certifications: BLS required upon hire.

Experience: Prior experience in a similar size facility with similar services provided preferred. Experience may be obtained through basic fundamentals of a nursing course at an accredited school of nursing with a clinical rotation in a skilled or acute care setting.

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

  • Certified Surgical Technician (CST) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
