GovCIO Project Coordinator (Remote) in Frankfort, Kentucky

Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a versatile Project Coordinator to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Software Product Management (SPM) Portfolio Integration Office (PIO). This position is fully remote.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate is one with experience supporting VA IT projects and program management tasks.Must be a self-starter who can quickly understand new assignments, conduct research, provide relevant content, offer solutions, and is adaptable.The position is fully remote.

  • Produces and submits weekly/monthly deliverables on time.

  • Coordinates with stakeholders to capture use cases.

  • Collects and manages risks and issues and follows up with risk/issue owners to ensure mitigation plan is being executed.

  • Assists in creating the integrated master schedule and updates it weekly.

  • Prepares stakeholder communication materials in a variety of formats.

  • Captures minutes, decisions, and action items from meetings and other sources, and follows up with action owners to ensure resolution.

  • Produces weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational slides and reports to track risks, metrics, and status updates.

  • Conducts research and performs analysis to support delivery of relevant tasks and artifacts.

  • Prioritizes and manages multiple tasks concurrently.

  • Takes the lead on small projects.

  • Communicates clearly with team members and stakeholders.

  • Creates invites and agendas; and facilitates meetings.

  • Identifies improvements to enhance team efficiency.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

  • Experience in project management areas of: planning/scheduling, reporting, risk management, time management and project documentation.

  • Strong analytical skills for process evaluation and improvement.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Capable of managing multiple research requests and multitasking.

  • Team player with strong relationship-building skills.

  • Proven facilitator and content creator.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Comfortable presenting to diverse audiences.

  • Well versed in all Microsoft Office products such as SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, MS Teams, and Outlook.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Kanban and Scrum.

  • Experience using Jira to plan, track and manage work.

  • Experience preparing organization-wide communication material.

  • Experience facilitating meetings, collecting action items, and following up with individuals and groups to ensure tasks are completed in the required timeframe.

  • Flexibility, ingenuity, creativity, diplomacy, and a willingness to learn and adapt.

  • Experience working within distributed teams and remote environments.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience working with VA OIT.

  • Scrum Master certification is a plus.

  • Experience with Power BI is a plus.

Clearance Required: Tier 4 / High Risk

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $75,000.00 - USD $85,000.00 /Yr.
