Department: Splash Village Food & Beverage

Position: Cook---Elf Hollow Café

Reports To: Elf Hollow Café Supervisor

Function: Responsible for the preparation and cooking of guest and employee meals within Splash Village.

Work Performed:

  1. Set-up of early morning kitchen facilities of the food production equipment as well as the end of shift closing and cleaning duties.
  2. Review of the special party/event functions.
  3. Provide necessary production of foods to have uninterrupted flow of product.
  4. Daily checking the coolers and freezers to ensure proper utilization of leftovers and rotation of foods to ensure freshness.
  5. Compliance to the recipe standards and proper portioning of food items.
  6. Preparation of employee meals.
  7. Monitor temperatures of food and cooling units on regular basis as prescribed by the Saginaw County Health Department.
  8. Provide for and ensure a safe and hazard free work environment.
  9. Taste, observe, and correct issues with food production.
  10. Communicate with Food and Beverage Department.
  11. Attend departmental meetings as assigned by supervisors.
  12. Other duties necessary to run an efficient operation.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time. Able to lift 40 lbs. Ability to work at a high volume work environment.

Other Requirements: Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Age Requirement: Must be 16 years of age.
