System One Data Entry Sample Associate in Framingham, Massachusetts

Job Title: Samples Data Entry Associate

Location: Framingham, MA

Hours/Schedule: Tues-Sat 9:30am-6:00pm

Type: 6 month Contract, Potential for extension or conversion to permanent

Hourly rate: $20.00

Overview:

A top ranked reference laboratory is seeking a Patient Sample Processor to enter all patient demographic and testing information into the laboratory information system and prepares patient blood samples for the analytical phase.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter patient info and test orders into the system.

  • Handle and verify patient blood samples, ensuring correct labeling and stability.

  • Identify and flag any issues affecting testing or reporting.

  • Pipette blood samples into aliquots for respective tests.

  • Operate automated aliquoting equipment.

  • Archive and organize samples for testing and storage.

  • Prepare batches for send-out testing.

  • Assist with tasks like scanning requisitions, troubleshooting orders, and organizing freezer storage.

  • Adhere to quality, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.

  • Collaborate with lab associates to efficiently complete daily tasks.

    Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • 0-2 years of related experience.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to accurately follow protocols and compliance guidelines.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Flexible in adapting to process changes.

  • Preferred: Experience in a medical or laboratory setting.
