Express Employment Professionals CNC Maintenance Technician in Fowlerville, Michigan

Express Employment Professionals in Brighton/Howell is assisting a well established manufacturing company with over 30 years in business is looking to hire a day shift CNC Maintenance Technician. The company produces quality parts and products for many leading automotive companies.

Pay: $26-$32 hr

Shift Hours: Monday - Friday 1:00pm-9:30pm or 3pm-11:30pm and must be available for over-time on the weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Repair of production equipment from basic hydraulic equipment to complex CNC machinery, performing both electrical and/or mechanical work.
  • Inspects condition of equipment and components for proper maintenance, CNC and stand-alone machine diagnostic / repair, electrical and mechanical
  • Performs preventive maintenance procedures on a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical equipment and production systems while supporting operational goals, troubleshooting and repair equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Identify faulty equipment; this includes pneumatic, light curtains, proximity sensors, ball screws, servos and other associated equipment.
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain machine tool equipment and controls.
  • Work with contractors and other maintenance personnel if necessary to ensure repairs are made properly and with minimum impact on operations.
  • May have all or partial responsibility for mechanical, electrical and/or hydraulic equipment
  • Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical / hydraulic equipment such as presses, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, robots, and various other production machines and equipment.
  • Tracks and logs repair work and completed work orders.
  • Cleans and maintains work areas and shop equipment.
  • Adhere to Lockout/Tagout and PPE requirements.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team-based environment.
  • Work with sense of urgency with machine down condition.
  • Starts machines and equipment to test operation following repair.
  • Ability to work overtime, including weekends as needed
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Mid to high level Corrective, Preventative maintenance experience required.

Ability to read part manuals, electrical and mechanical schematics, assembly instructions, technical documents, and troubleshooting guides.

Demonstrate high degree of industrial mechanic, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical aptitude and repair abilities.

Knowledge of CNC machine design and operation.

Knowledge of and experience with electrical test equipment, electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.

Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate.

Ability to work unsupervised if necessary.

Reading, writing and general math skills.

Ability to multitask job duties effectively and efficiently.

Ability to work overtime, including weekends as needed.

Certificate from college or technical school; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Minimum of 3 years' experience repairing and using CNC machines such as lathes and milling machines in a manufacturing environment

Ability to use good judgment and make decisions in a timely manner.

High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Physical Demands:

Ability to bend, reach and lift and move up to 50 pounds.
