The Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center is looking for a full-time experienced Surgery Veterinary Technician. At Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center, we strive to be among the nation's premier surgical referral centers specializing in orthopedic, soft tissue, minimally invasive, and neurosurgery for companion animals.

For over 30 years, we have served as the premier surgical resource for veterinarians throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. DVSC specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of surgical diseases in dogs and cats. Our surgeons perform neurologic, orthopedic, soft tissue, as well as minimally invasive procedures. We pride ourselves on having employees that reflect our high standard of veterinary care. Our locations are all growing and we are looking for amazing technicians to join our team!

Our Fort Worth Location is searching for an experienced Veterinary Surgery Technician - Day shift.

Our surgery technicians fully utilize their skills, working autonomously, calculating induction medications, running anesthesia, recovering patients postoperatively, and cleaning/sterilizing surgical instruments.

Schedule: Anticipate: 4, 10 hours shifts Monday – Friday 7:15am - 5:30pm with some on call required.

    · You are a LVT or Experienced Veterinary Assistant dedicated to outstanding client service and excellent patient care.

    · You are dedicated to maintaining a positive, respectful, uplifting hospital culture and genuinely love working with people that share that same value.

    · Take the initiative – you are a * hard worker who contributes to the operation of the entire hospital*, you will help get all the day’s duties done!

    · You are versatile – you know how to effectively adapt to the individual needs of each patient and are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of patients and their families.

    · You possess clinical skills and experience that include (but are not limited to):

    o Safe patient restraint

    o Excellent client service

    o Phlebotomy and catheter placement

    o Knowledge of radiology safety and proper technique

    o Proficient in post-op monitoring and care of surgical patients

    o Solid foundation of knowledge of common veterinary medications

    o Individualized, patient-focused nursing
