Our Transmission & Distribution Global Practice is looking for a Project Engineer to support our North Texas Region, primarily in our Fort Worth, Texas office. The Project Engineer is involved in all aspects of the projects they work on. This includes project safety, coordinating the design efforts of multi-discipline design teams, managing scopes of work, schedules, and budgets, developing cost and technical proposals, contract negotiation, risk identification, profit and loss, and management, client development, managing client expectations and overall client satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of overall Program strategic business initiatives to achieve goals and objectives.

  • Provide leadership to the Program team; direct and coordinate the work of a multi-disciplined team and ensure the efficient and cost-effective utilization of staff.

  • Responsible for driving systems integration and the implementation of data collection, data management, data analytics and reporting tools to drive efficiency in reporting to enable strategic decisions regarding program budgets and schedule risks.

  • Participates in management of Program budget and expenditure of funds.

  • Achieve stated targets and standards for the Program financial performance.

  • Present monthly financial information to leadership including project revenue forecasts.

  • Support strategies for cross-selling engineering services across the organization.

  • Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.

  • Travel to client and project locations will be expected.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related field from an ABET accredited curriculum.

  • Minimum of 3 years of power delivery engineering or construction project experience.

  • Professional Engineering (PE) preferred.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. This position requires an individual capable of applying intensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices to broad areas of assignments.

  • Must have experience with the production of applicable engineering design and construction documents.

  • Must be capable of devising innovative approaches to problems encountered.

  • Demonstrated success in project or program management organization involved in proposal development, contract negotiations, project planning, design team coordination & communication, budgeting, schedule management, and client coordination.

  • Proven ability to develop business and establish relationships with clients.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Must be able to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.

  • Previous consulting experience preferred.

  • Ability to travel.

  • Valid driver's license required.
