Join the cyber security team of this household name airline! They have a robust security team already, and they are looking for a security engineer to support SecOps. This person would be working with lots of SIEM and SOAR, log management, and other related blue team work. It’s a great opportunity to get your hands on a bunch of different tech without being stretched too thin, and if you’re interested in improving your existing SOAR/security automation skills, this may be the role for you!

Ideal candidates will have a few years of professional experience in cyber security under their belt. SIEM and SOAR (or automation/Python) experience is required. Strong OS security administration skills (Windows or Linux) and a good understanding of networking and infrastructure is required. This is a contract-to-hire position that requires presence in the Fort Worth TX office 3 times per week, so only local candidates will be considered.

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Required Skills & Experience

  • At least 3 years of professional cyber security experience

  • Strong skills in SIEM logging/monitoring, SOAR, and SOAR playbooks

  • Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages

  • Basic understanding of network and infrastructure

  • TCP/IP

  • HTTP

  • DNS

  • Firewalls and proxies

  • IDS, IPS

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences

  • Any relevant security certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
