  • Work location: Texas Health Southwest, 6100 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76132

  • Mother-friendly designated, a Texas 10-Step designated, and a Magnet designated facility

  • Work hours: Full Time Nights (6:45PM-7:15AM) for 36 hours/week, with Weekend and holiday requirements

Neonatal ICU/NICU Department highlights:

· Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth

· Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team

  • Our team is like a family with a newly expanded Level III Neonatal ICU/NICU unit with 16-beds – utilizing CPAP, Bubble CPAP, vents, and working with Feeders/Growers in our family-centered care unit

Here’s What You Need

· Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma required

· BSN is preferred

· One-year experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), or completion of an RN residency program.

· One year or more of Neonatal ICU/NICU Level III RN experience strongly preferred

· RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required

· BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required

· NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is required

· NRPA - Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days Required

· CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

· Assesses the patient

· Plans the care of the patient

· Intervenes as appropriate

· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
