Registered Nurse (RN) II Cardiac Cath Lab – PRN

Progressive Cardiac Cath Lab department is looking for a top skilled nurse. Is that you?

Work location: 1301 Pennsylvania Ave, Ft. Worth, TX 76104

Work hours: PRN (As needed), day shift

  • Cath Lab Department with 6 suites/treatment rooms averaging 20 cases per day

  • We are open 24/7, Monday through Friday, and have after hour, holidays, and weekend on-call requirements (with 30 min distance response time).

Our dedicated and progressive team in our Cath Lab department cares for adult patients with Cardiac, Peripheral Vascular or Electrophysiology related disease. We are open 24/7 weekdays and our lab includes six (6) suites and we average 20 cases per day.

We are a Mission: Lifeline® Receiving Center, Joint Commission certified in chest pain, heart failure and stroke and Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) for echocardiography and vascular testing.

Here’s what you need

Education:

  • Nursing Diploma required or

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred

  • CLIAFE - Must comply with CLIA (regulations regarding foreign education equivalency) required

Experience:

  • One (1) year experience as a RN required and

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire required

  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly) required and

  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within ninety (90) days of hire required

In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will:

  • Practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and coordinator for quality patient care

  • The professional nurse exhibits:

-an understanding of basic human needs

-an appreciation of unique meanings

-recognition and understanding of patient’s affiliations

-mutual problem solving

-attentive reassurance

-a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to

function in a fast-paced environment

-a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients

-a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism

-basic computer skills using medical management application systems

What you will do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process:

  • Assesses the patient

  • Plans the care of the patient

  • Intervenes as appropriate

  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care

  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out

of hospital transfers
