Project Manager FLRAA Ground Host Segment

Your experience as a Product Manager is essential in managing a portfolio of offboard software and hardware systems and orchestrating efforts among various teams and lines of business to ensure that requirements are identified, assigned, supported and completed.

You will support data-driven activities, modeling, and applications across all phases of the aircraft lifecycle to synchronize offboard (ground host and in-garrison systems) to optimize readiness, performance, and cost.

What you’ll be doing as a Project Manager

This GHS requires a dedicated Product Engineer to orchestrate and coordinate the following activities /efforts:

  • Managing the financial, technical, and schedule requirements of program components to deliver products that are technically acceptable in a cost-effective manner.

  • Work closely with program schedulers to understand the IMS and all the inputs required to manage/update the IMS monthly.

  • Communicate project performance to metrics and timelines through cadenced meetings and written reports.

  • Act as the interface with appropriate functional managers and cross-functional teams to ensure stakeholder needs are understood and incorporated into the project/program process.

  • Work closely with program schedulers to understand the IMS and all the inputs required to manage/update the IMS monthly.

  • Coordinate with seven (7) adjacent Integrated Product Teams (IPTs): Fleet Management Subsystem, Flight Mission Planning, Flight Data Recorder, Maintenance Trainer, Interactive Electric Tech Manual (IETM), Enterprise Digital Mock-Up (EDMU), and Digital Enterprise (DE).

  • Coordinate with Army PM-FLRAA, US Army Combat Readiness Center (USACRC), Program Executive Officer Information Systems (PEO-IES), US Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM), and Local Army National Guard (ARNG) to support offboard system IPTs in meeting mission and performance standards.

  • Coordinate modeling architecture and updates across various IPTs in support of Critical Design Review Modeling via model-based systems engineer (MBSE).

  • Update modeling architecture via MBSE, currently Cameo.

  • Coordinate with Cyber, Aircraft Quality Services (AQS), and Safety to support offboard system IPTs in meeting regulatory and safety standards.

  • Attend various IPT planning and working groups to aid in the synergy of offboard systems.

  • Work closely with stakeholder teams across the business to define functional requirements, review user stories, prioritize the product backlog, and manage the launch of features according to Agile best practices and methodology.

  • Collaborate day-to-day with the core platform team - product manager, project manager, product owners, business analysts, technical architects, and development team - to successfully execute the product vision and strategy as set by the assigned Manager.

  • Conduct detailed investigation of user needs (known and implied) recognizing patterns and system dependencies that determine design direction and cross domain cooperation.

  • Apply business process knowledge to design and deploy technical solutions that advance the product by delivering capabilities that do not just meet current needs but considers future growth scenarios.

  • Responsible for prioritizing the team backlog, sprint planning, performing story elaboration, setting quality standards for delivery, and representing the customer to the product delivery team(s).

  • Document and review user stories/requirements, and design specifications based on approved solution blueprints.

  • Coordinates communications and facilitates resolution of risks, issues, and changes tied to the product backlog.

  • This role requires strong analytical skills, collaboration with development teams, business teams, and key stakeholders to document requirements and deliver scalable solutions to the end user.

  • Domestic travel at most one week per quarter.

Qualifications

Skills You Bring To this Role:

  • Experience in a regulated environment (e.g., ITAR, EAR, Cyber, HIPAA, FEDRAMP, SOX, etc).

  • Works well navigating ambiguity and vague customer specifications.

  • Communicates efficiently and effectively between leadership, customers, and development teams.

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.

  • Builds and maintains effective relationships with customers, internal and external suppliers, as well as horizontal integrations across the other teams.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

What you need to be successful

  • We are looking for an inquisitive and driven manager with a passion to innovate.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Professional Aeronautics or Management, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or relevant.

  • Able to receive and maintain Secret Clearance.

  • At least 10 years Military experience required, 15 is preferred.

  • At least 10 years Project Management required.

  • At least 10 years Aircraft Maintenance experience.

  • At least 10 years Military or Defense Contracting Logistics or combination of experience.

  • Former Pilot or Maintainer with FAA Airframes & Power Plant license preferred.

  • Training Instructor experience preferred.

  • Prior experience working on Military Weapons System Development.
