Texas Health Resources PBX Operator - Days in Fort Worth, Texas

PBX Operator

Are you looking for a rewarding career with family-friendly hours and top-notch benefits? We’re looking for qualified PBX Operators (PRN) like you to join our Texas Health family.

Work Environment: Contact Center (Successful candidate will train at Chase building in Arlington for 2 weeks, then work in the Fort Worth Office. After 3-4 months, hybrid work will be an option, with at least one day per week being in-house.)

Work Hours : Full-Time; Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday from 9:00am to 7:30pm (with some variation in accordance with requested PTO)

Department Highlights:

What You Need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent REQUIRED.

  • 1 Year Experience as a Dispatcher, Communication Specialist, Customer Service Representative or similar position in a communication or dispatch center REQUIRED.

  • 2 years experience preferred.

  • Hospital experience preferred.

Skills:

· Be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, while performing a variety of tasks. Intermediate computer skills. Ability to multi-task. Strong customer service skills. Ability to work under pressure and during emergency situations while reacting quickly to unexpected situations and/or emergencies

What You Will Do:

· Answer incoming calls to the hospital switchboard in a timely manner, directing calls to the correct location or assisting with needed phone numbers

· Answer questions regarding basic operation of telephone system

· Transfer calls to appropriate departments for problem resolution as needed

· Overhead pages to locate physicians and relay approved information to employees and visitors

· Document all page requests either automatically through paging system and/or manually using written records

· Codes & Alarms

· Additional duties as assigned.
